You've heard of the Oscars, you've heard of the BAFTAS, now it's the Fidos.

Yes, there is an award ceremony taking place this weekend for dogs that appear on screen. The Corgis that appeared in the film, The Queen, are tipped for success. Can't help but wonder what their acceptance speech is going to be like...

PS: I hope this blog post counts as yet more evidence to Field Day critics (you know who you are, Naylor!) that dogs do get a fair get a fair amount of coverage here.

I'd just like to speak up on behalf of the cat lobby.

Still not enough cat news on your blog. Cats would never lower themselves to such awards. They all know they are brilliant already, without recourse to little trophies.

In any case, they would probably be too snooty to accept the award..
