Look closely at this bag of salad. Look very closely.

Just beneath the word 'lavado' is a frog!

What probably happened, according to Field Day reader Jenni Blake who sent it in, is that the water the lettuce was washed in water containing tadpoles and these became new frogs in the packing.

So if you're looking for salad with a little more body, then be sure to try this brand.

I will offer a home to said frog, and will promise not to eat it with the accompanying salad. It can join the rest that overwinter in the polytunnel and spend summer in the nearby damp ditch producing enough spawn to keep a whole primary school happy.

MMMM... extra flavour. Is this ASDAs latest deal?? free gift with every purchase??

Do you roast or fry the frog (sorry to any RSPCA members)??
