Road trip

tractor-run.jpg

Around 25 vintage and classic tractors gathered recently at Broughton Hall near Skipton for a tractor road run organized by local tractor enthusiast, Sam Chapman.

Participants climbed 1200ft onto the top of Elslack Moor and over into Lothersdale village, before heading into Lancashire, and passing through Foulridge.

By mid afternoon several spectators on the towpath of the Leeds to Liverpool canal enjoyed the sights and sounds of some rare tractors ranging from a 1960s Fordson Super Major to a Massey Ferguson 35 and 1970s International wagon.

Vehicles passed by Greenberfield locks, Barnoldswick, before returning back into Yorkshire, and to the finish line in Broughton.

The event raised over £150 for Broughton-with-Elslack All Saints’ Church.
