Say pardon

We know cows are contributing to global warning (and that shooting a moose is a sound environmental move!) but our knowledge of the subject should be advanced thanks to new work at a Swedish University.

The Swedish University for Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala has received £300,000 to measure greenhouse gases released when cows belch.

About 20 cows will be used in the trial, which will involve giving the animals different diets and measuring the methane in the air around them via collar devices.
