Farming is on the tv a lot at the moment and Kill It Cook It Eat It is certainly causing a controversy.
If you feel you’re a budding star and would like a chance to make a screen appearance - on a less controversial show - a new BBC 2 series could be just the opportunity.
Britain from Above will be made my Lion Television and will explore how the nation has changed since the Second World War.
Using archived aerial photography, it will explore how the land has been transformed over the past 60 years and then meet the people who have been part of these changes.
They are making three films: one looking at towns, another at industry and another at the countryside.
They are intending to focus on East Anglia for the countryside film and want to talk to people to help tell the story and who would be happy to be involved in filming.
The assistant producer, Max Shapira, has been in touch with Field Day and would like to hear from:
* Farmers (possibly retired) who were part of the mechanisation of farming in the 1950s
* People who have left farming due to economic constraints
* Farmers embracing modern technology – particularly anyone using satellite information to inform their work
* Organic farmers
* Farmers who are taking part in environmental schemes
* Farmers growing oilseed crops to produce bio-diesel


Tim, if you haven't gone over to Hugh FW's www.chickenout.tv and checked out the debate on the forum, I suggest you do so. Extraordinary stuff, lots of confusion and misunderstandings and lots of good will too. Incredible how uninformed the public are about farming practices; lots of qu's asking if organic chickens are free range or not.
