Say hello to Field Day's latest recruits

FWi%20YFC%202008%20team.jpg

What a motley crew.

This is me and four of the five reprobates I’m covering the Young Farmers convention in Blackpool this weekend with.

With the exception of two of us, all of us are too old to qualify as “young” farmers – 26 being the upper age limit for being a member of this organisation.

I’m considerably older than that, but at least I’m not as old as our photographer, Jonathan (he’s obviously not in the photo, because he’s taking it!) who’s positively ancient.

If you’re going to the event and spot us in these yellow T shirts, come and say hello. We might take your photo and put it on Field Day. We might even buy you a drink (although we probably won’t!)

I’ve given all these people access to my blog over the next week. It feels a bit like having given the keys to the asylum dwellers – but, ah well, too late now. So I hope you enjoy their ramblings. And apologies, in advance, if they’re offensive.

Spare a thought for me, too – I’ve got to share a hotel with them. Paul and Faisal have drawn the short straw, though, and are sharing a room!

Left to right: Isabel, Faisal, Paul, Caroline and me.

DampandDusty:

Argh.

I laughed so much, I may have to go to the Drs. I think I have a hernia...

Bet you are glad the corporate colour is yellow....?

Caroline:

My, what a handsome bunch. And yellow is such a flattering colour isn't it?

Adam Author Profile Page:

When you say "given them access to my blog", you mean "got Isabel to e-mail me to ask me to give them access" right?

You delegation master, you. :-)

Yes, I guess what I meant was: See if that nice man Adam, who knows everything about everything when it comes to blogs, can get it sorted!

Glad I made you laugh, Damp and Dusty. The yellow isn't great, is it. Especially when you're as pale as me!

Caroline... thank you. I'm presuming there's no irony in your comment.
