Kids in Birmingham are getting the chance to experience country life, many for the first time, after chartered surveyors Berrys donated 100 pairs of wellies to three primary schools.
The firm decided to make the gift as part of the Year of Food and Farming which aims to offer young people in England direct access to the countryside, agriculture and food.
By visiting farms in the region, children will have the opportunity to ,earn about the 'field to fork' process.
"Many children simply do not have the opportunity to visit a farm," says the company's Simon Latter. "By donating suitable footwear for farm visits, this will be opening up new opportunities for these schools, such as farm visits and nature walks, to improve their understanding and awareness of the food chain."
"The children will have seen wellies in the shops and in pictures but few of them will have actually owned them," says Tina Tanner, a teacher at Highfield Junior and Infant School at Saltley.
The photo shows pupils Mohammed Ahmed and Suman Nisar, both eight years old.
