I obviously spoke too soon, mentioning him yesterday.
I hear today that John Torode has resigned as president of the Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE).
The Australian chef has stepped down after only four months in the job, claiming that balancing his "personal and work schedules with the commitment necessary to offer my best to the society is, unfortunately, unachievable".
The news will come as a blow for RASE, which appointed John last October in a bid to raise its profile outside agriculture.
Established in 1840, the charity aims to showcase the best of British agriculture through its shows, events, conferences and awards.

Oops - do you think your blog post had anything to do with his resignation? Nah. Couldn't be! What about Tim for president?
Do not underestimate the power of the Relf. He is the silent mover, the power behind the throne... :-)
Nah.
He's just too busy stuffing his face, along with Baldie Cockney Barrow Boy Greg on Masterchef..."Cooking doesn't get tougher than this...!".
John Torode, that is - not the Relf.
