Talking of books, I hear this morning that five new editions of Gerald Durrell books have been published.

Beasts in my Belfry (an account of Durrell's job as a student keeper in Whipsnade Zoo in 1945) and Three Singles to Adventure (about his trip to a small village called Adventure in Guyana in 1950) are the latest two.

This follows Menagerie Manor, The Aye-Aye and I, and Golden Bats and Pink Pigeons.

The books have been republished by Summersdale to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.
