OVERALL WINNER - YORKSHIRE - Paul Grant - Mammoths.JPG

A family of gigantic straw mammoths in Lincolnshire has won farmer Paul Grant top prize in the Weetabix Wheat Art Competition.

The farmer from Boston scooped a £5,000 prize for his sculpture of 'Manny the Mammoth and Family' in this UK-wide competition run in conjunction with the NFU.

The sculpture, which was created with the help of Paul's family and the local community, fought off stiff competition in this contest which encourages farmers to have some fun and use their artistic flair to celebrate the harvest.

In total, there were 10 winners across the UK:

Scotland - The Johnston Family from Craigend, Perth with 'Wild Boar Hog Roast'
Tyne Tees - Ian Brown from Alnwick Northumberland with 'Humpty Dumpty'
Granada - Cliff Maitland from Ormskirk, Lancashire with 'Teddy Bear'
Yorkshire - Paul Grant from Boston, Lincolnshire with 'Manny the Mammoth and Family'
Wales - Alex Jamieson from Carmarthen with 'Bee'
Central - Amy Miles from Lutterworth, Leicestershire with 'Loch Ness Monster'
Anglia - Mark Ekin from Milton, Cambridgeshire with 'Tractor & trailer'
West Country - Matthew & Wendy Heal from Bridgwater, Somerset with 'Lion'
West - The Smale Family from Launceston, Cornwall with 'The Weetabix word'
Meridian - Tina Finch from Wisborough Green, West Sussex with 'Noah's Ark'
