Bicton College farm manager Paul Redmore is set to become a children's TV star.

The farm at East Budleigh in Devon was the location for CITV programme Farm Camp to be screened each weekday at 5pm from Monday October 19.

The 10-part documentary series features nine children aged between nine and twelve, as they embark on a unique adventure of discovery - swapping their city lives for country living to follow the real life story of just where their food comes from.

The children learn that a lot of hard work and effort goes into producing the food on their plates. They get first-hand experience of producing their own supper.

With lamb on the menu for dinner one day, the group even got to weigh lambs and select those ready for slaughter, then travel to Exeter Livestock Market to see them sold.

"That was quite an emotional day," said Paul Redmore, "but they were soon in the canteen eating a hearty roast lunch!"
