A cunning plan for bare bears

Ever wanted to see a naked hedgehog? You have?! Well isn't that lucky - I've only gone and found a picture of one to share with you.

This is Baldrick. Baldrick didn't have any spikes when he was found three months ago in Great Yarmouth.

He's now being looked after by John and Tonia Garner at Foxy Lodge Wildlife Rescue, and the Garners have hatched a cunning plan, Blackadder style, to try to encourage his spines to grow back.

Baldrick's being treated to daily massages with baby oil. The hope is his skin will soften to allow spikes to come through, and that he'll eventually be able to be released back into the wild.
While the idea sounds pretty good, I'm not sure I'd fancy giving it a try on poor old Dolores here.

Dolores and her buddy Lolita have left their keepers at Leipzig Zoo in Germany puzzled after all their fur fell out. The keepers have put out an international call for ideas to give the two gals their dignity back.

This week's Wednesday Wig on Gob of the Wash might be one solution in the interim,  but with names like Dolores and Lolita, I reckon something like these might be more in order.

Oh. Oh..... Dolores is a BEAR.... it took me a long time to work out WHAT she was. An Aardvark with a mane was my first offering.
