You know we blogged about the Euro 2012 ‘psychic’ pig?
Well the porcine predictor has been back in the news – this time because it was caught up in a topless protest by a Ukrainian women’s rights group.
Ukraine’s tournament mascot had been dozing in his pen, when the protestor began shouting slogans denouncing the UEFA tournament which, it claims, encourages sex tourism.
Stewards led her out of the pen and handed her over to local police. The pig, Funtik, didn’t look too bothered by proceedings.
If you’re wondering, incidentally, how the pig’s psychic powers work – apparently, it’s given two bowls before a game, one for each team and the one it eats from first is his prediction of the winner.
Frankly, that sounds about as scientific as my betting predictions…
