Tractor jumper legend lives on…

Tractors and knitting don’t exactly go hand in hand, or do they…

Thanks to Ellie Smart, who is the latest Farmers Weekly reader to have a go at knitting our (now legendary) tractor sweater.

“It is the first time I have ever done anything like this and I think that I twisted the wool at the back a little too tight to start off with so the big wheel looks a little out of shape. But I am proud of what I have done and my grandson loves it,” she said.

If you’re a bit handy with a pair of knitting needles and want to give it a go, email me at rachel.jones@rbi.co.uk and I’ll send you the pattern.

What’s more, send us a photo of the finished product and you too could have a place in the Farmers Weekly Tractor Jumper Hall of Fame.
