You would’ve thought that with Tim away on holiday for the next couple of weeks there’d be a dip in the number of blog posts that involve bikinis, but I couldn’t ignore this story.
Some bright spark in northern China’s Shanxi Province decided to stage a cow ‘beauty’ contest to find the region’s best bovine. But instead of the usual showman, they enlisted the help of five bikini-clad models to escort the cows in front of the judges.

The cows were judged on qualities including milk production, appearance and lineage. What the models were judged on, I don’t know – possibly their ability to stand with one hand on hip for long periods of time.

Or perhaps whether they had their own decorative face mask.

It certainly makes a change from the usual white coats. If any organisers of agricultural shows in the UK are reading, food for thought?
