Agricultural colleges and universities conduct some fascinating research. But I’ve never heard of a project focusing on Marmite before.
You either love it or hate it, so people say abuot this popular spread. And research is underway at Harper Adams University College to find out exactly what the public really thinks about it.
More than 500 questionnaires have been completed for the project, with the research being replicated in other countries that have native yeast extract spreads, including Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
Dr Frank Vriesekoop, Senior Lecturer in Food Science at Harper, is looking for people to be involved with taste testing, so if you’re interested, please email the Press Office.
