Good news for mums and dads who have vegetable-phobic kids.
A new breed of sweeter tasting broccoli has been grown in Scotland to encourage kids to eat their greens.
Called ‘Supersweet’ the veg has been specially bred by producers to not only taste sweeter, but also hold more flavour in the stem, which could mean less waste.
Major broccoli grower Iain Brown from Easter Grangemuir Farm in Fife, worked on the project, and when it came to the taste test, there were four obvious contenders for the job.
Here are his children - Anna, Sophie, Ben and Cameron – getting stuck in. And it must be good, because they’re eating it raw!
The new broccoli is being stocked by Tesco from this weekend (25 August).
