PICTURES: Sow rescued from deep well

An unwanted admirer can make you want to run for the hills, but how bad do they have to be to hurl yourself down a well?

This unfortunate sow fell down a deep well while she was trying to escape an amorous male pig in the Jiangxi Province, China:

Farmer Liu Yuan sought help from local firemen to rescue the pig. They set up a tripod over the entrange to the well and lowered Liu Yuan into the depths to attach a rope around the sow…

Then the 100kg beast was slowly hauled to the surface…

According to Liu Yuan the boar had been chasing the sow around all day when she suddenly sprang up and broke through the fence of the sty, only to run straight into the well.

If she didn’t like her admirer before, I’m pretty sure he’s blown his chances after this ordeal.
