Sweet dreams in a John Deere bed

I’m pretty sure there wouldn’t be any tears before bedtime if tractor-mad kids had this to climb into. They’d be begging for lights out.

This bed is the handiwork of Dean Bevan – owner of Wooden Wonders in Poyntzpass, Northern Ireland.

Dean makes all kinds of themed kids’ beds (batman, princess, diggers, Tinkerbell) but as a country lad who grew up around farms and gaming estates, it was only natural to include a John Deere themed bed in his range.

“My son Caine always played with John Deere toys and then my five-year-old son Tyler had even more toys and even the ride-on John Deere tractor,” said Dean.

“Customers really love it. Anyone who sees it stops and comes in to have a look at it. When the kids see it they want to come in and have a play on it and a lay down.”

The beds retail at £499, and for an extra cost you can even have a working flashing light on the roof, working head lights or night lights and even a built-in TV.

It’s definitely the ultimate gift for tractor-mad kids. That said, I can think of a few grown-ups who wouldn’t say no to a night tucked up in a John Deere.

I wonder if it comes in a double…
