Dinner is served (for 2000)

Ladies in Beef will be attempting to smash the Guinness World Record for the ‘Largest Simultaneous Roast Dinner’.

With Great British Beef Week (21-27 April) now under way, the organisation has announced it will be making the audacious bid at the Bath and West Showground on October 10.

The group of female beef farmers hope to serve Red Tractor beef to around 2,000 participants, so beating the current record of 1,632 participants in an event organised by the East of England Agricultural Society at the East of England Showground in 2009.

As well as breaking the record and promoting Red Tractor quality assured British beef, the ladies want to use the event to raise funds for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI).
