When I was growing up I was always told not to play with my food. Not so for these lucky kids from Kent…

Primary school students from across the county were were challenged to create a picture that represented Kent’s food and farming industry. But instead of using the usual paint, crayons or felt-tip pens, they had to get arty with seasonal fruit and vegetables.

To add an extra layer of X-Factor style excitement, after designing their masterpieces all the finalists had to recreate their design in a 1-hour live final, in front of all the judges.

The two overall winners who kept their cool won over the judges were… (drumroll please)…
