Someone should contact the producers on the BBC’s Great British Bake Off and tell them they need to plan a ‘farm cake’ episode, because it’s clearly the latest culinary trend.
Hot on the heels of last week’s harvest cake comes this one – the buckrake cake.
Buckraking enthusiast Michael Hall from Penrith, Cumbria was the lucky recipient. It was made for his 30th birthday by his colleagues at the farm he helps out at – Bunkers Hill – which is farmed by the Walsh family.
We especially love the creative use of Flakes, Twixes and wafers, not the mention the icing tyres – complete with carefully etched tread. 10/10 for attention to detail.
