HGCA's Price Risk Management project is sponsored by DEFRA.
The project consists of a national programme of Price Risk Management workshops and supporting information for the arable sector.

The aim of the project is to increase awareness and uptake of Risk Management techniques to help improve and stabilise grower incomes.

Level 1 and 2 workshops are currently being held, with Level 3 (advanced level) to be launched in January 2008. The Level 1 Workshops cover Risk Factors in the market place and the role of futures and options, with an interactive session to test strategies. Level 2 covers Risk Management strategies and practicalities in more detail. Workshops are supported with a Growers Guide on Risk Management and a CD Rom which covers workshop content and allows you to test Risk Management strategies in your own time.
