Farm shops and other independent retailers can now access bespoke market intelligence information, normally the preserve of supermarkets and multiple retailers.

The FootPath service is the first consumer profiling system designed specifically for small retailers and was launched by Bidwells Agribusiness at this week’s Farmers Markets (FARMA) conference in Newcastle.

By using postcodes of existing customers cross referenced with a geo-demographic profiling model developed by market intelligence company, CACI, it allows users to identify the profile of existing shoppers, their buying habits, as well as highlight areas where shoppers with similar behavioural patterns live.
