First Milk’s member milk prices will increase by 0.52p/ litre from 1 November on a manufacturing standard litre of 4.2% butterfat and 3.4% protein. The announcement comes in the same week that the farmer-owned co-op revealed accounts showing it was back in the black with a £6m operating profit in the year to March 2017 compared with a %.1m loss the year before.
