Five farming EDMs laid by Tories

TORY MP James Paice has laid five Early Day Motions on farming issues including TB, milk prices and the origins of the foot-and-mouth crisis.

Mr Paice, the shadow agriculture minister‘s EDM on foot-and-mouth disease concerned the video taken at Burnside Farm – the farm at the centre of the outbreak.

Mr Paice said the government‘s falure to submit the video to the Anderson inquiry “seriously undermines its claim to want to uncover the truth behind the F&M outbreak”.

One of his other EDMs suggests that any further delay in taking action against bovine TB would be unacceptable.
