GB potato prices fell by £8.72/t in the week to 24 March to average £218.54/t. Values were pulled down by limited free-buy demand and slow export trade. Scottish packing supplies were supplementing the limited free-buy English packing trade, said a report by AHDB Potatoes. Contracted or previously acquired stocks contributed to most movement, with the greatest interest in supplies with good skin finish and baker contents. Prices here were mostly unchanged.
