FARMSTOCK BUSINESS Harrison and Hetherington turned in a strong performance in the year to June 2004, helping to boost the fortunes of its parent company H&H Group.

The subsidiary made a pre-tax profit of £156,000, a rise of £94,000 on the previous 12 months, handling 840,000 head of cattle and sheep, up 20%.

Parent H&H Group made an overall pre-tax profit of £455,000, up 13% on the previous 12 months. Turnover increased by almost £1m to £7.5m.
