Syngenta launched a mobile version of its website at Cereals 2010.

The smartphone-specific site allowed growers and agronomists to access product guides, application advice and weather on the move, said market information manager Alison Pawson. Updated product information on the main website was more user-friendly and allowed growers and agronomists to access product, advice, compatibility tables and safety information, she said. “It goes beyond the normal label information and includes application advice and agronomy tools to help get the most out of the chemistry.”

A new community section gave access to discussion forums which allowed users to interact with each other and local experts, she added. “Growers can communicate with each other or send questions to Syngenta technical experts.
