Tony Blair tackled on SFP delays during Prime Minister’s Questions

Shadow minister for agriculture Jim Paice challenged Tony Blair over SFP delays during Prime Ministers Questions on Wednesday (15 Mar).

Mr Paice asked whether the Prime Minister understood the anger and financial distress of tens of thousands of farmers who “are fending off creditors because of government incompetence.”

Mr Blair said he did understand the concerns and claimed the Rural Payments Agency was working extremely hard to get payments out. “We are working on it as hard as we can,” he said
