Concern over farmgate milk price cuts topped the agenda at the NFU dairy summit on Thursday (11 April).

Dozens of dairy farmers gathered at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, to discuss the best way of getting a fair price for their milk.

Topics included cost-of-production formulas, negotiation skills and joining forces to form producer groups to market milk.

But the major topic was the prospect of a drop in farmgate milk price this spring farmers who believe they are getting a raw deal from the supply chain.
