Renovation required near Welshpool

76-acre livestock farm near Welshpool, Powys, is for sale at a guide price of £650,000 for the whole or in lots.

Six modern and traditional farm buildings are included.

The land is split over two sites with 54 acres of permanent pasture and a further 22 acres of freehold grazing ground at Allt Dolanog Common.

There are also two small areas of woodland.

The farm’s five-bedroom Grade II listed farmhouse is in need of renovation. BPS entitlements are included.

Lanarkshire beef and sheep farm on offer

Beef and sheep farmers looking north of the border may be interested in Ampherlaw Farm, Carnwath, Lanarkshire, at £435,000 as a whole, or in lots.

The owners have a herd of 25 suckler cows and flock of 160 breeding ewes which are grazed on the 62 acres of permanent pasture.

A further six acres of arable land is put to winter barley.

Farm buildings and a five-bedroom bungalow are included. No agri-environment agreements are in place. BPS entitlements
are available by separate negotiation.

Scottish arable block up for grabs

A 39-acre block of Grade 3 arable land between Edinburgh and Glasgow is available at offers over £155,000, or in two lots.

Lot one of the land at Jerviswood, north of Motherwell, is largely put to spring barley, but a small area of the 16-acre block is retained as pasture.

Lot two, with 23 acres, is presently left to stubble as a land management option, which expires in August 2016.
