Yorkshire abattoir business in administration

A Yorkshire abattoir is in administration, resulting in the loss of up to 70 jobs.

Bowood Farms Ltd, trading as Bowood Yorkshire Lamb, went into administration on 5 August, with Kevin Murphy, John Titley and Philip Deyes of Leonard Curtis appointed as joint administrators.

“Prior to our appointment, the company had ceased to trade and all employees have subsequently been made redundant,” said a spokesman for Leonard Curtis. “The joint administrators are actively seeking interested parties for the property and assets.”
