It was actually a mornings work! it takes two years engineering at harper before you can manage it as well!!

There has to be a set routine of preparing the parlour and dairy so as not to forget anything.

Long while since I milked, but there is nothing more depressing than going into the dairy half way through milking to find the bung in the tank has not been put in, or the delivery pipe to the tank still in its wash mode. It only happened once. Probably not the only one it ever happened to.

Lamma great. Cereals good for other reasons. Yorkshire show best of the county shows. Lincolnshire and Royal show both rubbish now. Village shows can take them or leave them - depends on the village and the 'politics'.

I like the local shows best. You get to see so much at the larger events but nothing beats a local for atmosphere. What day are you going Rob? If it's Wednesday we might be able to meet. Nice article by the way.

Royal visits are weird affairs. I've been on a couple of visits with Prince Charles before and all you end up doing is trailing around in his wake asking the people that he talked to what was said. You're held back about 20ft away from him at all times.

The essays are a nightmare. Our lecturer gave us "The life and Times of the Barn Owl" to be done in the 2 hour lecture time. Huh
