I have been sent to some really nice pictures harvesting pictures this weekend...the only problem is that they totalled about 30MB and so the powers that be in our IS department closed my mailbox. As we've identified already, some people turned into numbers when we moved to this new forum platform. It was something that happened because we were importing so much data from the old site.
I notice that some new members are now coming through with numbers. If this is happening, against your will can you let me know at isabel.davies@rbi.co.uk You should be able to change your forum nickname at My FWi.
It has been a couple of days since I posted here but I haven't gone on holiday. Sadly...! 
I've being doing some writing for Farmers Weekly magazine and the news pages of FWi and catching up with some other interesting snippets around the office.
Here is what I've picked up:
1) We're hoping to arrange an interview with Hilary Benn relatively soon so if anyone has any questions for him let us know by starting a new thread.
2) Rubbish weather means combines are at a standstill across most parts of the country. Which is a shame as we're on the look out for your harvest pictures for the Harvest Highlights 2007 picture gallery. Perhaps we'll just have to have pictures of people preparing/cleaning/mending their machines!
3) Worm charming sounds alot of fun. You'll need to listen to our new podcast to find out what I mean...
Just a quick reminder that in the terms and conditions it does say no adverts so I've taken a couple of ones that popped up overnight down. It's a rule that most forums apply because once you open the floodgates it can get way out of hand and start to dominate what should be a place for discussion. Sorry!

I said I'd keep you updated with how things are going...so here it is.
The weird thing is the date. Yesterday afternoon we had a British style date (I saw it, I know it exists, the control panel at the back says it is still there!). However, as you all know it has managed to switch itself back to a US style date whihc makes us feel that a year is a very long time!
It is irritating but there must be a fix, so I will keep pressing the buttons. A few people have also come through 'the chnage' without their log-on details. but as I have said elsewhere if they e-mail me we think we can rectify that pretty easily.
I've had a few requests for pictures galleries so hopefully we should be able to start sharing some nice images.
It's been a very long-time coming but we finally have a new forum. And picture galleries. And blogs. Wey-hey!!! I'm excited!
That said, I'm sure it isn't goingto be all plain sailing and there will be queries and issues flying about. But keep them coming and I'll try and get to the bottom of them.
I thought I'd set up this blog to share the trials and tribulations of introducing the new system. We hope you enjoy using FWispace and a BIG thanks to everyone who has helped get us to this point (you know who you are).
