Registering on the site only takes two minutes

In recent days I've noticed that a number of people are pressing the reply to a message option but then disappearing when they realise they need to be signed in to reply. I guess they are put off by the idea, fearing it is going to take ages.

In actual fact, you only need to fill in five or six boxes to register. These are your surname, email address, the password you will use and the username you would like to be known as. Not that difficult at all, is it?!

If you want to register you just need to press the 'join' link which is located on the top left hand side of the page under the FWiSpace logo. Once you have got there, press the register button and fill in the boxes marked with an asterix.

Go on! Big SmileBig Smile

Something to make you smile - not to be missed!

I know I am a big kid at heart but I couldn't resist doing this for you (the link is worth clicking as you can then do something similar for someone else).

PS: The idea for this was shamelessly stolen by me from Matthew Naylor who used it after being victorious in the battle of the blogs.

FW photo competition

The FW photo competition is always incredibly popular and we always get sent in some stunning images. But this weekend we've fallen victim to our own success. It turns out the fwphotocomp@rbi.co.uk inbox filled up completely on Saturday evening and refused to accept any more pictures because incredibly it had exceeded our 200MB limit.

So anything emailed to us between 8.15pm on Saturday 17 November and 8am on Monday 19 November won't have reached us.

If you did send pictures between those times, please would you resend them? Sorry! Alternatively, you can upload themselves on the picture gallery.
FW Awards

I've uploaded tens of pictures from the Farmers Weekly Awards today and I hope people have enjoyed them. I hope that even people who didn't get the chance to attend take a look . There's some very excited winners in there and they deserved their night!

It was great to spend the night focusing on all that is positive about farming and leaving the problems to one side for a few hours. if you want more of a feel for the event listen to our Jon Culshaw podcast, our Archers podcast or watch our video available from Friday.

Comedian Midge Benn even sang a song specially penned for the event, which sadly we can't bring you for dull legal reason, but here are the lyrics. It and he was fantastic! Why isn't he more famous than he is?!
