As they say " Things come in three's" Kf, but that is a most unfortunate and sad sequence. To put a little light on the situation, why don't you buy the neighbours farm. Then, at least, you will have hedged your bets on getting a decent neighbour?

I have found myself in your situation many times.

Just keep going and you can always get the machines repaired. We're not so easy fixed.

So take care of yourself and keep 'er lit.

(I have a sister-in-law like that too, dont get me started...........)

i like the phrase " those that can... do , those that can't.. teach". Of course some of us are both practical and educated and just get on with life sure in the knowledge that whatever we turn our hand to we could do better than the professionals ! With the exception of typing though in my case !

Could the orphan calf have been a twin, I had that problem this spring, one abandond calf. Managed to get it onto a cow that had lost hers. It not an easy job to get them to take to anothers calf.

Beware the frost I think. I have pictures of the Alberta Canola crop from my brother, not a pretty sight (the crop not the brother) I wish you the very best of good weather. My harvest is over, all wrapped in plastic and ready to feed to the cows.

It depends on what you want to do. I don't think you would qualify as a highly skilled migrant worker.

£3,000 isn't very much if you are planning on living and you don't have a job. It also depends on where you are from.

I suggest you try to get a job first and then get your employer to sponsor you.

I am assuming you are from the USA (given your name).

You've not noticing the foreign news have you. You have been going about it all wrong. You need to get over here and take part in a sham marriage!! A church of England Vicar was arrested a couple of days ago on suspicion of deliberatly taking part in sham mariages..

KF, for once our weather seems wilder than yours. A generally dry spring was relieved with about an inch of rain early May. Then very high temps and strong winds brought drought conditions back. That all ended last weekend with 3 inches rain in 36 hours ! Unfortunately the drought has done serious damage to my yield potential. Time will tell.
