The missing 4 incher!

Sorry about the title - i am changing my blogging style to the ''Matthew Naylor'' style by putting provocative language in!

Well, aint long been in as i decided it was best to go and sort the turkeys out. Well all 3 of them untill my enterprise takes off! I did start doing the pen on saturday and seemed to be pleased with it but i just needed to get it done with no distractions! So....

I had this shed, right, well its a pig arc and what an absolute pain in the ass (in fact it was a whole donkey sancutary) to put up! Bits didnt fit here and there, no bolts and it was just a nightmare- then i ran out of the all important 4 inchers (I am refering to nails here) which resulted in having to buy some!!!!!  . Anyway, lots of expletives, a mince pie and £2.85 later, it was sorted! Pen up, all i need to do is put a lat across the floor, finish the fencing and drag some stuff out with the tractor but I am a one man band now as ''jake the peg'' or ''chainsaw massacre'' as he is now called can only hit nails - leaving me with the post knocker (he was helping me)!

But, i also have to get more eggs - i have some in the incubator and i am REALLY struggling to get some more to boost my stock as the hatch rates of Norfolk blacks (or turkeys in general) arent supposed to be that good. I have emailed suppliers and the like and i am still waiting.......To be Continued..... (any advice just drop me a note). I pray and hope that these are succesfull as someone i know only hatched one egg last year!!!

On a brighter note - it has been a good day today for spraying today. Yellow Chafer's have littered the area today aswell as quite a bit of fertilliser being applied.

Thats my enticing, turkey twizzling blog for today!

The headline thing works - it was the first thing I noticed when I logged in this morning.

Nice headline - I'm sure Matthew will be proud to know he's sculpting the minds of young farmers!

BTW - a mince pie? In May?

Well Matty, the title certainly catches the attention!I must spy on Matthew Naylor a bit myself...........

How did you manage to get a NEWS section on the RHS where you have reported your ferreting results??

RHS - That sounds way too technical but if your refering to the little collum thingy on the right you go to ''global settings'' and then title, description and news and just type it in the news section!

Hope that helps!

That's okay then - I was worried that all the turkey talk had got you in the festive mood a bit too early!
