Countdown is on...

With less than one week to go, we're all set for one of the busiest ever NSA Sheep events at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern. It's the sheep farming event on the 2010 calendar which has been planned to help you develop and grow your enterprise and to do business.

More than 260 trade stands will be representing a wide range of industry organisations and companies promoting every aspect of the sector.  There will be plenty of opportunities to find out what's new and to gain advice, whether it's technical business, or finance. You'll also be able to catch up on the latest cutting edge genetic developments among the 51 different breed societies and associations.

Away from the exhibitors' stands, do come spend some time at our seminars and panels; we're featuring some of the hottest issues on environment, health and welfare, marketing and EID, and the majority of these sessions will be chaired by the industry's youngsters.

There will also be plenty of opportunities for involvement throughout the day, from testing your own lamb and carcase selection skills, to learning new shearing techniques from the competitive shearing classes. There's also the NSA Young Shepherd of the Year - you can watch the entrants testing their skills in a pentathalon of activities, and the Farm Shop Lamb Butchery competition should provide an interesting spectacle together with our NSA styled Ready Steady Cook.

If you are searching for a new working dog, then don't forget that 52 entries will be up for grabs the specially constructed auction ring, and each will be put through it's paces, one Man and His Dog style, prior to coming under the hammer.

Taking time off from the farm on Tuesday will be time well spent at the event. Bring your partner, your neighbour and your shepherd. We look forward to seeing you.
