    As my name suggests..

I'm a professional mole catcher working in North Cornwall, I found this site through a farmer that I have cleared moles for.

I keep a small number of cattle, sheep, 3 horses, lots of chickens ducks n dawgs!!

Here to help if anyone wants to me to reveal any myths or legends about catching moles.!!

    Heres a few things-

We have moles in silage ground, the mole hills move every day up to 20-30FT and they are very large hills. They move across fields, into neigbours fields even across roads. Firstly is this the same mole or is it a group of them? or is it a monster? (we think it may be a crocodile)  We have dug out a few mole hills and the runs are up to a metre down (Deep soils) How or where do we set the traps? We have the scissor/trip type, are these suitable?

There are probably a few moles if they are covering that much ground, one I caught this last week had 77 hills in a 120 yard long working, twas nearly straight. They dont cross roads, or go under them...

In between the mole hills there will be runs/tunnels you will need to locate these using a probe,16 ml iron bar, a long handled screwdriver whichever you've got handy, preferably the shallower ones are the ones to set the traps in...  dig a hole down to the tunnel, clean out any loose soil or debris, put in your set scissor trap, cover lightly with earth and check it the following day... putting traps in Mole hills doesn't work...
