    Blogs. Help please.

I have just posted my third blog but really haven't got the hang of it.

I had thought that maybe a few readers might be interested in reading a copy of my monthly column from our local Parish Magazine. (It is written from the background of a church going countryman) The original is in Word but when copying and pasting into the Blog, the pagination just disapears and I am left with an unsightly mass of text. I then tinker with it but the results are really off putting.

Has anyone any experience to pass on to a novice?

Yes, Peter, your blogs are a bit of a shambles Sad. I had the same problem when I tried to write columns in mine. But they remind me that in the Christian faith it is not the building that matters but the people who are in it. From that view, there is nothing wrong with your blogs.

In your FWI control panel Peter select write a blog post, above your blank page is the line of tools
Almost at the end is the folder with a blue W, as your curser passes over it will say ‘paste from word'
Copy from your word, then touch the ‘paste from word' button twice, it should bring it onto the web site ‘as written'

Best of luck Peter, these thing usually have a mind of there own.

If Allyr a wizz kid, is Owd Fred a whizz kid. Anyway, is wizz  or whizz short for wizard ?

    Owd Fred :
Copy from your word, then touch the ‘paste from word' button twice, it should bring it onto the web site ‘as written'

When Fred said 'copy' he meant put the extract from Word into the clip board. If you then press 'copy' whilst in the blog, the text will flow through without pagination but when I did, as Fred said, click the 'paste from word' button twice the text came through as originally written. In about a week I will post the August 2006 View from the Pew and see if I can remember how to do it.

As you will have guessed by now, I have now written 62 of these Views since March 2006, and I hope that if the blogs show sufficient interest, bearing in mind that this site may not be the most receptive to this kind of writing, then I may consider assembling the pieces into a book for sale to help our local parish church.

    Once again thank you.

Anyone that can go from cut and paste to Christianity in the same sentence is a "wizz kid" in my book
