Hi guys we have a 5455 massey ferguson 2004 100 hp is a good little tractor but a bit weak on the road , can i chip it? was under the impression that you could chip the later models but wasnt sure about mine dont want to go and blow the backend out of it just want a little more than it gives . I'm not a mechanic but if your tractor doesn't have a chip then you can open the pump out a tad. Would be worth getting it checked on a dyno first though. It may not be pushing out what it should in any case. As you have said, there's no need to get carried away, but a little extra power can sometimes make all the difference.

 Don't forget to do the "already done" stuff first, like air and fuel filters.
