Nothing. Never have done, nor birthday nor anniversary presents. She does not buy me any either. What is the point? It is her money as well as mine, and vice versa, so why buy yourself a present just because it is a certain date?

We are not anti presents, we do buy for others and receive some too.

I'm a wife so see if this helps!  I got my christmas present early on Thursday.  Other half went to Reading auctions and came back with an old garden centre trolley.  Fully galvanised, good frame all it needs is a bit of ply in the bottom to level it out.

It has made carrying buckets of calf creep up the shed much easier what with cracked verterbrae and bulging discs.  SO THOUGHTFUL!

Do as you would be done by.

old mac, you dont have to buy anything, its the thought that counts, a few flowers from the forest does just as well as bought ones.

glasshouse, How did you know?????????  From time to time (maybe 3 or 4 a year) that is exactly what I have done for 40 years. Last week I did not want to pick what I had found, and since it was not far just took her to see them.

If only all women were that easy to please. My missus seems to think that useful things don't count as Christmas presents.
