What a load of crap these are. Our cows used to all have a handwritten tag that lasted for years if not life, and could be read at distance. Nowadays most of the big tags don't last a year, and if they do last longer they soon fade so much you can't read them anyway.

You should have gone to Specsavers Ringo! Seriously, I think that tag making is a licence to print money. Off at a tangent- whatever happened to the electronic tagging that was to trial pre foot and mouth? Has the project been nobbled by tag manufacturers with a vested interest?
