    Does Christmas come too soon?

Here at FW we're having to think about some of our Christmas content already - you might have seen Tim's post earlier.

And I've just blogged about Tesco putting mince pies, Christmas puddings and Yule logs on its shelves this week.

So which camp do you sit in?

    a) Christmas can't come early enough. Or
    b) Anything before December is too soon.

I think my blog post outlines my stance pretty clearly...

Or c) anything before the 24th of December is too soon!

I like to start my Christmas shopping by being told that the shop is about to close as I go in on Christmas eve!!

Re: Does Christmas come too soon?

My Christmas Cockerels are now 28 days old and in three more weeks will change their diet to my special one of non ACS growers, grapes. apples, milk, wheat, maize, and free range grass. This year, I am a bit later than usual and so they will kill out at around 12lb to 16lb.

The odd one or two will go off their legs and so, minus a leg or a wing, will go in my freezer for eating later in the year.

As for Tesco et al. They are organisations comprised of managers who act in accordance with normal patterns of commercial corporate social behaviour. In short, whatever they can get away with commensurate with their corporate goals. If their grandmothers could command a sufficiently good margin, they would sell them.

Christmas grandmas... now there's an idea. Knitted jumpers for all and a never-ending supply of sherry ;)

I had my first Christmas marketing email from a restaurant this week, telling me to book a table for my festive celebrations NOW, with a full Christmas menu attached.

    Shan't.

I'm with you on this one Bovril, or even better, cancel the whole thing. Feed deliveries need to be organised weeks in advance when you have no idea how much or when you need it and you can't get spare parts for love nor money. It seems the rest of the population shut down from 'mad Friday' until the middle of January.

    Bah Humbug !!
