    Fastrac error code C120

     2009 cummins engined Fastrac 2170.
Took it out this morning, it started fine and drove for two miles running well then  suddenly went into limp mode  flash flash error code C120 which the book says is something computer.
Ever since I had it from new I have had occasional trouble with the error codes which nearly 100% of the time is cured by turning the engine off , waiting for 20 seconds and then restarting. A bit of a pain but I can live with it.  I can then do a day or a weeks or a months work with no trouble

    .
This time it starts up every time and runs normally for about 30 seconds then goes into limp mode C120.  It has done this ten times in a row and also after I left it for an hour.
It was cold , minus 4 last night  and it may have emulsified the fuel but would it have these symptoms?  Surely it would just stop and not start again or run badly.  when it does start up the engine sounds normal and even in limp mode it is running evenly.

    Any ideas???    Fast1rac????

     Hi,

Disconnect the battery for half an hour.

    Radio code will be lost?

Is it getting plenty of diesel, now?

    See how that works?

The battery ploy I will try tomorrow thank you Mursal
I will have a look at the JCB link which I did not know about thank you BB

I suspect due to the amount of different error  codes coming through that it is the central control unit computer thingy and if disconnecting the battery is not the answer to its upset then I need to find a geek with a laptop

Since I last posted I tried to make it the one mile journey home in a series of 30 second bursts.  Each time the engine fired up normally but with the icons flashing and after a short time it cut right out and did not go into limp mode.  The longer the time I let it recover the longer time it ran.  So if I started again immediately it would run for about ten seconds and if I left it for ten minutes it would run for 30 seconds.  Fed up with this I put a lad on the forklift and towed it but it does need some muscle power to turn the wheels on a sharp bend!

Im with mursal by check the batteries , it does sound like a bad connection somewhere,  have you checked for melted fuses ?  or try Russell Fastraxx
