    Fertiliser spreader life

My Kuhn 701 MDS (1995 model) needs money spending on it, so I'm going for a new machine. Is that about average for the life of a spreader.

our teagle td50 is 6years old and is worn out but it has done a lot of work so i am not to disapointed with it.the hardest thing is carrying 2 ton down the road all the time it seems to cause more problems than spreading the stuff

    Fertiliser spreader life

Have Amazone ZAU (2nd hand in 1997. Retired her last yr, as it looked like we were headed for our second year of stripes following first dose of N. Always faultless @ 12m due to full double overlap pattern. Worse than useless @ 20m 'cos of not full overlap. Whatever we did always too little under tractor in tramline. Bought new Sulky Expert last spring, can alter spread pattern to suit most products in a PREDICTABLE manner and machine runs level all time, so is easier to correct as load decreases in work and rear of tractor rises (soft BIB X's) Was offered 10yr old Sulky like ours for £1450,V.tidy so obviously stay the course, but thought bloke was taking piss and so, bought new for twice as much to gain 10yr head start. Regards.
