    Help Finding 2nd Year Placement

I am doing a National Diploma in Land Based Technology and need to find somewhere that will take me on for a year that has a qualified agricultural engineer or land based tech preferably the latter . Does anybody know of anywhere near Nantwich in Cheshire that will take me on next year from September 2009 until September 2010. I've sent letters to Morris Corfields in Duddon, RVW Pugh in Sandbach and been to Tarporley Tractors. Morris Corfields didn't reply and then took a lad on for an apprentice next year a few days ago, RVW Pugh haven't replied and Tarporley Tractors aren't getting enough work to consider taking me on. So i'm a bit stuck now as i don't know where to go. Any ideas?

Hey, When looking for my placement I placed and advert in the farmers weekly briefly describing that I needed a years placement for my HND. It was worth a go because I had a fantastic time on Scotland.

You've made a start approaching dealers, keep trying! Good luck

Never thought of doing that. Did they help you find accommodation or did you find it yourself? Thanks for the help

It's worth a try. The firm who took me on did help with accomodation and of the farms that rang most said they had caravan's or knew of lodgings so I think you'll find if they're looking for staff they'll help you. Sometimes companies know where previous students have lived or even just help advise which areas to avoid.
