    Hen Deaths

We have seen a relatively high number of our free range hens dropping dead over the past couple of weeks. There is no sign of disease and they are from unrelated breeds and different roosts. The only common factor is it seems to happen after windy weather. Are they getting chilled perhaps?

Are you getting several dead in the same place? The windy weather has caused a few smothers to take place with my birds, & not in the corners of the sheds. I found a few smothered in the middle of the shed last week. They could be getting chilled, how good is their feather covering?
