How can I include a picture in a post?

There are several ways to include a picture in your post.

    1. You can include a picture which is published elsewhere on the Internet by clicking on the icon on the toolbar and entering the URL (address) of the image (this is the only way you can include a picture if you use the "Quick Reply" option) .

    2. The quickest way to upload an image and include it in your post is to click on the "Options" tab in the edit window and click on "Add/Update" under "File Attachment"

    3. If you want to include a photograph from your own FWiSpace gallery (or someone else's) click on the icon , then click on the "Photos" tab and then find the photo you want to include

A bit more info on how to upload pics from your member gallery:

    1.
If you don't have one already, request an FWispace member gallery by emailing rachel.jones@rbi.co.uk, making sure you give your FWispace user name
    2.
Log into FWispace and open your gallery. Find the “my tasks” box in the lower right hand side of the screen, click ‘add picture’ and follow the instructions to upload pics from your computer
    3.
When the photos you want are uploaded into your gallery, start writing a new forum post - either by starting a completely new thread, or by replying to an existing thread
    4.
Click the content selector button - it’s the button to the left of the smiley face in the toolbar:
    5.
Find your photo gallery in the member gallery list, select the photo you want to upload and click ‘ok’. The photo should then appear in your forum post. You can add text around the photos and post as normal.

Just to be awkward, Rachel can we upload a "one off picture" directly from the hard drive?

I suspect not, but if so please spill the beans!

Yes you can. See number 2 in Isabel's post at the top:

"The quickest way to upload an image and include it in your post is to click on the "Options" tab in the edit window (you're normally in the "Compose" tab) and click on "Add/Update" under "File Attachment"

Doing it this way doesn't give you as much flexibility to organise text around the photos, because you can't see the image in the post before you actually post it up. But it is a quick way of chucking a photo into a post straight from your desktop/folder...
